AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18-182 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED, "AUTHORITY TO SELL," TO INCLUDE THE REQUIREMENT THAT ALL CONVEYANCES OF REAL PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF MIAMI SHALL BE SUBJECT TO A DEED RESTRICTION THAT REQUIRES GRANTEES WHO ARE LEGALLY IMMUNE OR EXEMPT FROM TAXATION TO PAY TO THE CITY AN ANNUAL MUNICIPAL SERVICE PAYMENT IN AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO WHAT THE CITY WOULD RECEIVE IN AD VALOREM TAXES; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, real property owned and used b certain designated entities and for certain designated pu es is immune or exempt by federal and Florida law from e i sition of ad valorem taxes; and WHEREAS, the City of Mia ' rovides municipal services including, but not limiteTt police and fire protection, emergency medical serviqqV, garbage disposal (for certain residential properties), e r A and parking faciliti to all and improvement, street improvement, property within its jurisdiction; WHEREAS, Sect' 29-A(e)(2) of the City Charter requires that all pe ons who purchase real property from the City shall be obliga d�to pay an amount equal to what the ad valorem taxes would b i he property were privately owned and used for profit maki purposes.; and
