pedestrian access into a Wainwright Park directly from Rickenbacker
Causeway in the City of Miami, Florida.

Any shortfall in the expected Fire Rescue Assessment proceeds
due to M1% reduction or exemption Irimi payment of the Fire Rescue
Assessments required by law or authorized by the City Commission
shall be supplemented by any legally available funds. orcomhinationof
such fund,, and shall not be paid for by proceeds of funds derived from
the Fire Rescue Assessments. The City Commission has also made the
legislative determination that in the event a court of competent juris-
diction determines any exemption or reduction by the City Commission
is improper or otherwise adversely affects the validity of the Fire
Rescue Assessments imposed for this Fiscal Year, the sole and exclu-
sive remedy shall be the imposition of a Fire Rescue Assessment upon
each affected tax parcel in the amount of the Fire Rescue Assessment
that would have been otherw isc imposed save and except for such
reduction or exemption afforded to such tax parcel by the City
Commission.
Copies of the Fire Rescue Assessment Ordinance, Initial
Assessment Resolution and the preliminary Assessment Roll are avail-
able for inspection at the Office of the City Clerk of Miami, Florida.

The assessments w ill be collected on a bill to be mailed by March
13, 1998. The assessments will be clue on March 15, 1998. The assess-
tnents are delinquent on April 15. 1998. Failure to pay the assessment
will result in either the commencement of foreclosure proceedings or
cause a tax certificate to be issued against the property which may result -
in it loss of title.

As advertised, the City Commission meeting will commence at 10:00AM and
promptly end at Noon to allow us to attend the Black History Presentation event
which will be held at the terrace located outside the MRC Building.
Further, please be advised that Police Officers will be directing traffic around the circle
in front of City Hall tomorrow due to the high volume of residents that will be
attending the Fire Assessment Fee Public Hearing. After all parking spaces within the
circle are full, no one will be allowed to enter unless they show proof that they work
at City Hall. If anyone has a problem entering tomorrow morning, please page Julian
