HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-99-0943J-99-1074 12/14/99 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION APPROVING THE CITY'S CO-SPONSORSHIP OF THE DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. PARADE AND FESTIVAL ("EVENT") TO BE HELD ON JANUARY 17, 2000; FURTHER AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROVIDE (1) TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE and SUPPORT, AND (2) IN -KIND CONTRIBUTIONS AND SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,000, FOR THE EVENT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The co-sponsorship of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade and Festival ("Event") to be held on January 17, 2000, is hereby approved. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to provide (1) technical assistance and support, and (2) in -kind contributions and services, in an amount not to exceed $15,000 for the event.
