A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
EXPRESSING ITS INTENT TO ACCEPT A DONATION OF
$2 MILLION FROM MARTIN MARGULIES FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A YOUTH FACILITY AT GIBSON
PARK; DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO MEET WITH
MR. MARGULIES TO DISCUSS THE CONDITIONS
ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID
DONATION, A SPACE UTILIZATION PLAN, AND THE
OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE PROPOSED
FACILITY AND TO PRESENT HIS RECOMMENDATIONS
TO THE CITY COMMISSION FOR ITS REVIEW AND
CONSIDERATION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby expresses its
intent to accept a donation of $2 Million from Martin Margulies
for the construction of a youth facility at Gibson Park.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to meet
with Mr. Margulies to discuss the conditions associated with the
acceptance of said donation, a space utilization plan, and the
operation and maintenance of the proposed facility and to present
his recommendations to the City Commission for its review and
consideration.

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.;/

'j If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become
effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was
passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by
the City Commission.
