WHEREAS, the tile flooring at the Solid Waste Department administration building is more than 20 years old, in poor condition and needs replacement; and WHEREAS, approximately 4000 square feet of non-skid ceramic tile is required and approximately 170 square feet of quarry tiles are needed for the kitchen area; and WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, Invitation for Bids No. 8-99-185 were mailed to potential bidders; and and WHEREAS, four (4) bids were received on October 25, 1999; WHEREAS, funds are available from Capital Improvement CITY CON76SSION MEETING OF NOV 1 6 1999 Resolution No. 99- 846. Project No. 353015.329401.6.860; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Solid Waste recommend that the bid received from Commercial Interior Contractors Corp., be accepted; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The bid received on October 25, 1999, from Commercial Interior Contractors Corp., for the procurement and installation of ceramic tile, for the Department of Solid Waste, at an amount not to exceed $30,176, is hereby accepted; with - 2 - 99- 846 t1. ce) funds therefor hereby allocated from Capital Improvement Project No. 353015.6.329401.6.860.
