HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-99-0810J-99-942 10/26/99 RESOLUTION NO.S 9 8. � A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE A REVOCABLE LICENSE AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT"), IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH COSCAN METROPOLITAN, L.L.C. ("LICENSEE") FOR THE USE OF A PORTION OF THE MIAMI MARINE STADIUM PARKING LOT, LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 3601 RICKENBACKER CAUSEWAY, MIAMI, FLORIDA, ON A MONTH TO MONTH BASIS FOR TEMPORARY PARKING, AT TERMS AND CONDITIONS MORE PARTICULARLY SET FORTH IN SAID AGREEMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Miami is owner of certain real property located at 3601 Rickenbacker Causeway, Miami, Florida, a/k/a Miami Marine Stadium (the "Property"); and WHEREAS, the use of the Property parking lot is not required at this time by any of the City's offices or departments; and WHEREAS, COSCAN Metropolitan, L.L.C. is in need of additional employee parking; and WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to enter into a revocable license CITY COMUSSION MEETING OF 0 C T 2 6 1939 Resolution No. e; ~ u i L agreement for use of a portion of said Property, subject to negotiations with Licensee as to terms and conditions, which will be set forth in a Revocable License Agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized!' to negotiate and execute a Revocable License Agreement ("Agreement"), in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, with COSCAN Metropolitan, L.L.C. ("Licensee") for the use of a portion of the Miami Marine Stadium Parking Lot, located at approximately 3601 Rickenbacker Causeway, Miami, Florida, on a month to month basis for temporary parking, at terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Agreement. Section 3.
