BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Clerk's Certification and Declaration of the results of the election held on August 24, 1999, attached hereto and made a part hereof, in which certain individuals were elected as members of the Overtown Advisory Board ("OAB") is hereby accepted and the election of the following individuals as members of the OAB, for terms of two years, expiring on September 28, 2001, is hereby ratified: Donald J. Benjamin Irby McKnight Charles J. Flowers Gerald Muhammad Demas Jackson PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of October 1999 :BSS This Administrative Act shall become �ffectiv immediately. WALTER J. FOEMAN, City Clerk of the City of Miami, Florida, do hereby certify that the necessary steps were taken pursuant to City of Miami Code Section 2-1052 in connection with the conduct of the Overtown Advisory Board Election held on August 24, 1999. Said election was conducted in order to fill five (5) vacancies of the Overtown Advisory Board. The election was held at the Culmer Center located at 1600 N.W. 3 Avenue from 2 until 6 p.m. I. Six (6) individuals qualified as candidates for Overtown Advisory Board members. Said six candidates' names were place on the ballot. II. A total of seventy-one (71) ballots were cast in said election. III. Voters were allowed to vote for a maximum of five (5) candidates of their choice. No ballot which was cast by an elector was voided. IV. I further certify and declare that the results of the Overtown Advisory Board Election held on August 24, 1999 are as follows: CANDIDATE Donald J. Benjamin Charles J. City funded or assisted activities, developments, or improvements within the Overtown area. Five current board members' terms expired on September 8, 1999. An election was held on August 24, 1999.
