RESOLUTION NO.'v � F e A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING A DONATION, WITH AN ESTIMATED TOTAL VALUE OF $3,000, FROM RECTO AND ASSOCIATES, INC., OF TEN (10) ROYAL PALM TREES TO BE PLANTED BY CITY PERSONNEL AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS WITHIN COMMISSION DISTRICT 3. WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has received ten royal palm trees, with an estimated total value of $3,000, from Recio & Associates, Inc., to be nlantPrr7 t-; +-.. various locations within Commission District 3; and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works will provide the labor, material and equipment to plant the trees; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. A donation, with an estimated total value of $3,000.00 from Recio and Associates, Inc. to the City of Miami, consisting of ten (10) royal palm trees to be planted by City CITY COMUSSION MEETING OF Q C T 2 6 1999 R(resolution No. y t •- r personnel in Commission District 3, is hereby accepted. Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorizedil to execute the necessary documents to accept said donation. Section 4. If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. BACKGROUND The South District Police Substation and City of Miami Grove Park have been in need of replacement trees and several new trees to enhance the appearance of these two City facilities. Recio & Associates, Inc., a landscape contracting firm, has voluntarily donated ten (10) royal palm trees to be planted at various locations throughout District 3.
