BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. August 12, 1999 FILE: SUBJECT: Affirmative Action Advisory Board REFERENCES: September 14, 1999 Agenda ENCLOSURES: List of Members, Resolution The Affirmative Action Advisory Board was created to review and recommend to the City Commission the adoption of amendments/revisions to the City's affirmative action plan. The board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to the Personnel Department. Three appointments are needed at this time: Commissioner Sanchez has one nomination for vacant seat created because Ivan Barrett, who had been nominated by former Commissioner Hernandez, was excessively absent. Commissioner Teele has one nomination for vacant seat created because Charles J. Flowers was excessively absent. Commissioner Regalado has one nomination for vacant seat created because Ricardo Core was excessively absent. For your information, attached please find a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the September 14, 1999 Commission agenda.
