A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
APPOINTING ANT INDIVIDUAL AS A MEMBER OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI AFFIRMATIVE ACTION ADVISORY
BOARD FOR A TERM AS DESIGNATED HEREIN.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following individual is hereby appointed
as a member of the City of Miami Affirmative Action Advisory
Board to serve a term expiring February 8, 2000, or until the
nominating commissioner leaves office, whichever occurs first:

List of Members, Resolution
The Affirmative Action Advisory Board was created to review and recommend to the City
Commission the adoption of amendments/revisions to the City's affirmative action plan. The
board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to
the Personnel Department.
Three appointments are needed at this time:
Commissioner Sanchez has one nomination for vacant seat created because Ivan Barrett,
who had been nominated by former Commissioner Hernandez, was excessively absent.
Commissioner Teele has one nomination for vacant seat created because Charles J. Flowers
was excessively absent.
Commissioner Regalado has one nomination for vacant seat created because Ricardo Core
was excessively absent.
For your information, attached please find a copy of the current membership of said board. By
copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the
September 14, 1999 Commission agenda. This issue was partly deferred from the February 9tn
the March 23Td, the May 11, 1999 and the July 13, 1999 Commission meetings.
