A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AUTHORIZING THE ENGAGEMENT OF THE LAW FIRM OF
LOCKE LIDDELL & SAPP, LLP, FOR LEGAL SERVICES
PROVIDED TO THE CITY OF MIAMI IN CONNECTION
WITH THE BANKRUPTCY MATTER OF FLYING BOAT,
INC. d/b/a/ PANAM AIRBRIDGE, (AKA CHALK'S),
U.S. BANKRUPTCY COURT FOR THE NORTHERN
DISTRICT OF TEXAS, DALLAS DIVISION, CASE
NO. 399-30339-RCM-11; ALLOCATING FUNDS
THEREFOR, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$32,000.00, PLUS COSTS AS APPROVED BY THE
CITY ATTORNEY, FROM THE SELF-INSURANCE AND
INSURANCE TRUST FUND, ACCOUNT CODE
NO. 515001.624401.6.661 FOR SAID SERVICES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Attorney's engagement of the law
firm of Locke Liddell & Sapp, LLP for legal services provided to
the City of Miami, plus costs as approved by the City Attorney,
in with the bankruptcy matter of Flying Boat, Inc. D/B/A/ PanAm
Airbridge, (Aka Chalk's), U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern
District Of Texas, Dallas Division, Case No. 399-30339-RCM-11, is
hereby authorized, with funds therefor, in an amount not to
exceed $32,000.00, hereby allocated from the Self -Insurance and

Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.'/

Airbridge, (AKA Chalk's), U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of

Funds in an amount not to exceed $32,000 plus costs as approved by the City

The attached copy of a Resolution is being placed on the City Commission Agenda for
the meeting of July 27, 1999. If approved, it gives the City Attorney authorization for the
engagement of the law firm Locke Liddell & Sapp, LLP, for legal services provided to the City
of Miami in connection with the bankruptcy matter of Flying Boat, Inc. d/b/a PanAm Airbridge,
(AKA Chalk's) for $32,000 plus costs as approved by the City Attorney.
Funds will be allocated from the City of Miami Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust Fund,
Index Code No. 515001.624401.6.661.
Please indicate your review and approval below prior to the request being presented to the
City Commission.
