A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AUTHORIZING FUNDING, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $8,000.00, FOR THE PROVISION OF BODY
WORK, REFURBISHING AND PAINTING SERVICES FOR
A BUS DONATED TO THE CITY OF MIAMI POLICE
DEPARTMENT BY THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY TRANSIT
AUTHORITY, SAID SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY
VARIOUS VENDORS, UTILIZING CITY OF MIAMI BID
NO. 95-96-136; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM
THE WEED AND SEED IV GRANT, ACCOUNT CODE
NO. 142013.290510.6.270.
WHEREAS, the Miami -Dade County Transit Authority donated a
bus to the Miami Police Department for use by the Miami/Miami-
Dade Weed and Seed Program; and
WHEREAS, said bus is not suitable for use as it requires
interior and exterior renovations; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Chief of Police recommend
that the required body work, refurbishing and painting services
be provided by various vendors, utilizing City of Miami Bid
No. 95-96-136, at a total cost not to exceed $8,200; and
WHEREAS, funds for said services are available from the Weed

and Seed IV Grant, Account Code No. 142013.290510.6.270;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference
thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.
Section 2. Funding, in an amount not to exceed
$8,000.00, is hereby authorized for the provision of body work,
refurbishing and painting services for a bus donated to the City
of Miami Police Department by the Miami -Dade County Transit
Authority, said services to be provided by various vendors,
utilizing City of Miami Bid No. 95-96-136, with funds therefor
hereby allocated from the Weed and Seed IV Grant, Account Code
No. 142013.290510.6.270.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective

immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor Y

the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
