RESOLUTION NO. D 9` 409
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
RELATED TO A TENT REVIVAL, CONDUCTED BY THE
OVERTOWN CHURCH OF CHRIST, TO BE HELD AT 1800
NORTHWEST 1ST PLACE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, A CITY -
OWNED VACANT PARCEL, BETWEEN JUNE 20T11 AND
JULY 2ND, 1999; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO WAIVE ALL NON-LABOR/PERMIT FEES ASSOCIATED
WITH SAID EVENT, CONDITIONED UPON THE
ORGANIZERS: (1) PAYING FOR ALL OTHER
NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES AND
APPLICABLE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT;
(2) OBTAINING INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY
IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY
MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE; (3) COMPLYING WITH
ALL CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE
PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE.
WHEREAS, the Overtown Church of Christ ("Church") is
desirous of conducting a tent revival ("Revival"), between
June 20`h and July 2°d, 1999, at 1800 Northwest I" Place, Miami,
Florida, a City -owned vacant parcel, for the citizens of the City
of Miami; and
WHEREAS, the Church will obtain all required permits and
insurance for said Revival;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY

OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference
thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
waive all non-labor/permit fees related to a tent revival,
conducted by the Overtown Church of Christ, to be held at 1800
Northwest 18C Place, Miami, Florida, a City -owned vacant parcel,
between June 20`h and July 2nd, 1999.
Section 3. The herein waivers are hereby conditioned
upon the organizers: (1) paying for all other necessary costs of
City services and applicable fees associated with said event; (2)
obtaining insurance to protect the City in the amount as
prescribed by the City Manager or his designee; and (3) complying
with all conditions and limitations as may be prescribed by the
City Manager or his designee.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective

effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was
passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by
the City Commission.
