RESOLUTION NO. 9 9" 378
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
RELATED TO THE PROPOSED REVENUES TO BE
GENERATED BY THE COLLECTION OF A PARKING
FACILITIES SURCHARGE; DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO DESIGNATE (A) EIGHTY PERCENT (80%)
OF THE PROCEEDS RECEIVED BY SAID SURCHARGE TO
BE APPLIED TO THE REDUCTION OF THE AD VALOREM
TAX MILLAGE RATE, AND (B) TWENTY PERCENT
(20';) OF SAID PROCEEDS RECEIVED BY SAID
SURCHARGE TO BE APPLIED TO THE REDUCTION OF
THE FIRE RESCUE ASSESSMENTS FEE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby directed to
designate eighty percent (8016) of the proposed revenues to be
generated by the collection of a parking facilities surcharge to
the reduction of the ad valorem tax millage rate, and twenty
percent (201c) of said proposed revenues to be applied to the
reduction of the fire rescue assessments fee.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective

effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was
passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by
the City Commission.
