A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENTS OF CERTAIN
INDIVIDUALS AS MEMBERS OF THE OFF-STREET
PARKING BOARD OF THE CITY OF MIAMI FOR TERMS
AS DESIGNATED HEREIN.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The appointments of the following individuals as
members of the Off -Street Parking Board of the City of Miami are
hereby confirmed, for terms as designated herein:

the City Commission's confirmation of the Off -Street Parking Board's appointments of three
individuals.

The Off -Street Parking Board was created to operate, manage and control the off-street parking
facilities of the city and all properties pertaining thereto.
Pursuant to Section 23(a) of the Charter, members shall reside or have principal place of
business in Miami, but no officer or employee of the City shall serve as a member.
Three confirmations for appointment are needed at this time. The Off -Street Parking Board has
made the following appointments to be confirmed by the City Commission:
1. Shalley A. Jones to replace vacant seat formerly held by Tanya Dawkins, whose term
expired on December 2, 1997, and who was excessively absent.
2. Dr. Eduardo Padron, reappointment, term expired on December 2, 1998.
3. Margarita Rohaidy Delgado, reappointment, term expired on December 2, 1998.
For your information, attached please find a copy of the current membership of said board. By
copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the
Mayl 1, 1999 Commission agenda.

At its regular meeting on March 31, 1999, the Off -Street
Parking Board appointed Ms. Shalley A. Jones to replace Tanya
Dawkins whose term expired on December 2, 1997. Ms. Jones
term will run through December 2, 2002. Her resume is
attached.
The Board also reappointed Dr. Eduardo Padron and Margarita
Rohaidy Delgado to serve terms through December 2, 2003.
Board resolutions for these appointments are attached.

increase business and investment opportunities in low- and moderate -
income and minority communities. v
Primary liaison for Housing Impact division for community outreach
activities Including support with consumer advertising campaigns and
housing fairs, fair lending issues, and regional real estate seminars to
increase public awareness of Fannie Mae's role in addressing housing
needs.
In partnership with industry trade associations, lenders, and academic

COMMISSION THAT THIS REAPPOINTMENT BE -

WHEREAS, Margarita Rohaidy Delgado's term of office as a
member of the Off -Street Parking Board of the City of Miami expired
on December 2, 1998; and
WHEREAS, a member shall be named and appointed by the
remaining members of the Board, subject to confirmation by the City
Commission, for a term of five years; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Delgado has performed her duties and obligations
in a conscientious and devoted manner; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Miami that
Ms. Delgado be reappointed:

WHEREAS, a member shall be named and appointed by the remaining members
