A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION

RELATED TO THE 16 MIAMI FILM FESTIVAL
OPENING NIGHT GALA, CONDUCTED BY THE FILM
SOCIETY OF MIAMI AND FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL
UNIVERSITY, TO BE HELD AT THE INTER-
CONTINENTAL HOTEL ON FEBRUARY 19, 1999;
v DECLARING AN EXEMPTION FROM THE PROHIBITIONS

r4 SECTIONS 3 6 - 4 (a) AND 3 6 - 5 (a) OF THE CODE OF

M CONCERNING SAID EVENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. An exemption from the prohibitions and
restrictions contained in Sections 36-4(a) and 36-5(a) of the
Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, is hereby
declared as they relate to the level and hours of noise
concerning the 1.6th Miami Film Festival Opening Night Gala,
conducted by the Film Society of Miami and Florida International

Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.1/

the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commis3i.on.
