A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION,
WITH ATTACHMENTS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A REVOCABLE LICENSE
AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT"), IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE
ATTACHED FORM, WITH ANCHOR MARINE OF MIAMI,
INC., A FLORIDA CORPORATION, ("LICENSEE") FOR
THE MONTH -TO -MONTH USE OF THE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 971 N. W. 7 STREET,
MIAMI, FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECURING
AND OPERATING AN ADJACENT PARKING FACILITY
FOR LICENSEE'S BUSINESS LOCATED AT 961 NW 7
STREET; SAID AGREEMENT STIPULATES THAT
LICENSEE SHALL: 1) PAY THE CITY AN ANNUAL SUM
OF $5,000 FOR SAID USE, 2) PROVIDE DOCKAGE
FOR ONE CITY OF MIAMI MARINE PATROL VESSEL AT
NO CHARGE, 3) PROVIDE A SECURITY DEPOSIT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $1,250 , PLUS OTHER CONDITIONS
AS MORE PARTICULARLY SET FORTH IN THE
ATTACHED AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, on March 24, 1975, the City of Miami entered into a
Revocable Lease Agreement (Agreement) with Anchor Marine of
Miami, Inc. ("Licensee"), for the City owned property located at
approximately 971 N.W. 7 Street, Miami, Florida, at an annual fee
of $1.00, for the purpose of securing and operating an adjacent
parking facility for Licensee's business, which is located at 961
NW 7 Street; and
WHEREAS, said lease agreement has expired and Anchor Marine
desires to continue use of the adjacent property and to enter

into an Agreement with the City, at an annual fee of $5,000.00
for said use, plus other stipulations as set forth in the
attached Agreement;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI , FLORIDA:

Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference

If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at
the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.

RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recommends that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution,
authorizing the City Manager to execute a Revocable License Agreement, in substantially
the attached form, between the City of Miami and Anchor Marine of Miami, Inc. The
month -to -month Agreement is for the use of the property located at approximately 971 N"A'
7 Street, for the purpose of securing and operating Anchor Marine's business located at 961.
NW 7 Street. The license agreement provides for an annual fee of $5,000. As additional
consideration, Anchor Marine shall provide to the City, at no cost, dockage for one Marine
Patrol vessel. Anchor Marine shall also provide the City with a security deposit in the
amount. of $1,250.
BACKGROUND:
On March 24, 1975, the City of Miami entered into a Lease Agreement with Anchor Marine
of Miami, Inc. for the use of the City owned property located at approximately 971 NW 7
Street, Miami, Florida. The Lease, which was for securing and operating Anchor Marine's
business, located at 961 NW 7 Street, was for a one year term with one year renewal
periods, subject to and conditioned upon the approval of the City Manager. The fee for the
Lease was $1 annually.
Anchor Marine of Miami, Inc. would like to continue its use of the property and desires to
enter into a Revocable License Agreement with the City. The highlights of the Agreement
are as follows:
♦ Fee: $5,000 annually
♦ Additional
Consideration: Anchor Marine shall provide dockage for one marine patrol vessel at
no cost to City.
♦ Fee Increase: 3% of the annual fee in effect for the immediately preceding year
♦ Late Fee: 5% late fee of the delinquent installment if not received within five
days after it becomes due
