A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
RELATED TO THE ANNUAL JOSE MARTI PARADE TO BE
CONDUCTED BY THE BILINGUAL PRIVATE SCHOOLS
ASSOCIATION ("BIPRISA") AND THE; MIAMI-DADE
COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD ("COSPONSORS") ON
JANUARY 28, 1999; WAIVING ALL FEES APPLICABLE
FOR SAID PARADE AND AUTHORIZING THE
DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE, FIRE -RESCUE, GENERAL
SERVICES ADMINISTRATION, SOLID WASTE, AND
PARKS AND RECREATION TO PROVIDE ALL SERVICES
FOR SAID PARADE WITHOUT CHARGE, SUBJECT TO
AND CONTINGENT UPON THE COSPONSORS'
COMPLIANCE WITH SUCH CONDITIONS AND
LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY
OF MIAMI, INCLUDING OBTAINING INSURANCE TO
PROTECT THE CITY IN AN AMOUNT AND FORM AS
PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE.
WHEREAS, the Bilingual Private Schools Association
("BIPRISA") and the Miami -Dade County School Board will cosponsor
the Annual Jose Marti Parade on January 28, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to waive all fees
applicable for said Parade and to authorize the Departments of
Police, Fire -Rescue, General Services Administration, Solid
Waste, and Parks and Recreation to provide all services for the
Parade without charge;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY

OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference
thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.
Section 2. All fees applicable for the Annual Jose Marti
Parade to be conducted by the Bilingual Private Schools
Association ("BIPRISA") and the Miami -Dade County School Board
("Cosponsors") are hereby waived, and the Departments of Police,
Fire -Rescue, General Services Administration, Solid Waste, and
Parks and Recreation are hereby authorized to provide services
for said Parade without charge.
Section 3. The aforementioned authorizations are hereby
subject to said Cosponsors, compliance with such conditions and
limitations as may be prescribed by the City of Miami, including
obtaining insurance to protect the City in an amount and form as
prescribed by the City Manager or his designee.
Section 4.
This Resolution shall become effective
