W. GRAINGER, INC., UNDER STATE OF FLORIDA NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT PRICE SCHEDULE (SNAPS) NO. 2851185, ON AN AS -NEEDED, WHEN -NEEDED CONTRACT BASIS UNTIL AUGUST 27, 1999, FOR VARIOUS CITY DEPARTMENTS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $35,000.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE OPERATING BUDGETS OF THE USING DEPARTMENTS. WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing requires industrial and commercial equipment and supplies, such as batteries, janitorial supplies, lighting .fixtures, hand tools, work gloves air conditioning equipment, paint, and lubricants for use by city departments on an as -needed, when -needed basis until August 27, 1999; and WHEREAS, the city can realize a cost savings by using the State of Florida Negotiated Agreement Price Schedule (SNAPS) Agreement for these purchases; and WHEREAS, funds will be allocated from the Operating Budgets of the city departments using these supplies at the time of need; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Purchasing, cm CO=SSION MEETUIG OF JAM 1 2 1999 Resolution No. q 9 _ � .�, i�.� `� t,i..., u a 17�t recommend that the procurement of industrial and commercial equipment and supplies from W. W. Grainger, Inc., awarded under State of Florida SNAPS No. 2851185, be approved, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The procurement of industrial and commercial equipment and supplies from W. W. Grainger, Inc., under State of Florida Negotiated Agreement Price Schedule (SNAPS) No. 2851185, on an as -needed, when -needed contract basis until August 27, 1999, for use by city departments, is hereby approved, in an amount not to exceed $35,000.00, with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Operating Budgets of the using departments at the time of need.
