INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM
TO: The Honorable Mayor and Members of the
City Commission
FROM:
DonaldWars aw
City Manager
Recommendation
DATE : July 20, 1999
SUBJECT: Occupational License
Recommendations
REFERENCES:
ENCLOSURES:
Pursuant to your request, the attached Ordinance reflects the revision requested at the
meeting of July 13, 1999. This revision includes the elimination of the 5% rate increase
and leaves in tact all other recommendations for rate reductions, name changes and new
categories. It is important to note that, except for new licenses, the effect of this revision
would be to reduce the overall revenue currently received by approximately 1.5%.
Further, it leaves intact the inequity for real estate salespersons/brokers which was
particularly troublesome to the Study Commission.
