PLEASE ALL TAKE NOTICE THAT a continued discussion from the
City Meeting oLUffch 23 1999, and full presentation by the Greater
Miami Conven on and visit6rs Bureau, of the proposed marketing and
promotional strategy for Miami will take place at 9:30 a.m., before the
Regular City Commission Meeting of May 11, 1999 officially convenes.
The meeting will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami;
Florida, in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 3500 Pan Ameri-
can Drive, Miami, Florida.
All interested persons are Invited to appear and may be heard con-
cerning this item. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of
the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this
hearing, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the pro-
ceedings is m9de, including all testimony and evidence upon which
any appeal may be based.

ENCLOSURES:
Below please find a summary of the essential elements of the Lot Clearing program. Per
our previous conversation, I recommend that these elements be placed in any publication
that your office prepares.
■ The City of Miami has passed recent changes to the Iot clearing program.
■ Owners are required to keep their property clean of debris and grass neatly trimmed.
■ Property with grass over 18 inches or property with trash or debris on it, will receive a
Notice of Violation. If the property is not cut within 10 days, the City of Miami will
order the property cleaned with the cost passed on to the owner and assess an
administrative charge of $100 or 20% of the cost, whichever is greater.
■ There will be NO notice sent out, if a second violation occurs within a calendar year.
The City will order the property cleaned and automatically pass on the charges to the
owner.

required to keep their property clean of debris and grass neatly trimmed; property with
