RE: Status Request: City Commission Directives - January 12, 1999 Meeting
Legislation concerning regulations for buses and signs

On January 21, 1999, I transmitted a memorandum to you to schedule a meeting after your
review of the attachments concerning the drafting of two ordinances, as directed by Commissioner
J.L. Plummer, Jr. at the January 12, 1999 City Commission Meeting, to address and regulate (a)
illegal parking of buses at the Coconut Grove Playhouse, (b) the amount of time a bus may remain
idled or parked on a City street, and (c) the posting of signs in the public right-of-way or on utility
polls, etc. by event promoters.
Input from the Administration is necessary in order to comply with Commissioner
Plummer's directives. Please contact me immediately upon your review of the attachments so we
may schedule a meeting to discuss these issues. Copies of the January 21" memorandum and its
attachments are enclosed for your convenience.
