A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION EXPRESSING DEEPEST SYMPATHY AND SINCEREST CONDOLENCES ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF MIAMI AND ITS CITIZENS TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF CLARANCE PATTERSON, JR., UPON HIS UNTIMELY DEATH. WHEREAS, Clarance Patterson, Jr., the son of the Director of the Department of Solid Waste, Clarance Patterson, Sr., recently passed away; and WHEREAS, Clarance Patterson, Jr. was a devoted son, husband, father and brother, and very devoted to his church; and WHEREAS, Mr. Patterson stood 617" tall and while a student of Miami Jackson Senior High School was a key member of the All -City All -State Basketball Team during its 1970-1971 Championship Season, and a valuable team member of the University of Northern Illinois Basketball Team during his college years; and CITY COMUSSION MEETING OF. DEC 1 4 2000 Resolution No. WHEREAS, Clarance Patterson, Jr. was in public service for many years as an employee of the Miami -Dade County Metropolitan Transit Authority ("MTA"); and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission, on behalf of the City of Miami and its citizens, to express its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Clarance Patterson, Jr.; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. On behalf of the citizens of the City of Miami, the City Commission hereby conveys to the family and friends of Clarance Patterson, Jr., its deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences upon his untimely death. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
