HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-00-1040J-00-1008 11/13/00 RESOLUTION NO. 0 0- 040 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO PLAN AND DEVELOP A PILOT PROJECT IN THE MODEL CITY SCATTERED SITE AFFORDABLE HOMEOWNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AREA TO CREATE A COMMUNITY NEIGHBORHOOD PARK, WITH SUBSTANTIAL PARKING INFRASTRUCTURE, TO BE MAINTAINED BY THE COMMUNITY AT NO COST TO THE CITY OF MIAMI, BETWEEN NORTHWEST 57TH AND 59TH STREETS ALONG THE NORTHWEST 17TH AVENUE CORRIDOR, MIAMI, FLORIDA; FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO PRESENT A STATUS REPORT TO THE CITY COMMISSION WITHIN SIXTY (60) DAYS AS TO THE PROGRESS OF SUCH PLAN AND DEVELOPMENT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby directed to plan and develop a pilot project in the Model City Scattered Site Affordable Homeownership Development Program Area to create a community neighborhood park, with substantial parking infrastructure, to be maintained by the community at no cost to the City o.f Miami, between Northwest 57th and 59th Streets along the Northwest 17th Avenue Corridor, Miami, Florida. CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF NOV 1 6 2000 Resolution No. 0 IV Section 2. The City Manager is hereby further directed to present a status report to the City Commission within sixty (60) days as to the progress of such plan and development. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.!/ PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of November , 2000.
