The board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to the Department of Human Resources. Six appointments are needed at this time: • Commissioner Winton has two nominations: 1. One for vacant seat created because Sabrina Bouie, who had been nominated by former Commissioner Plummer, resigned; and 2. One for vacant seat created because Rasha Soray, who had been nominated by former Commissioner Plummer, resigned. • Commissioner Teele has one nomination for seat currently held by Charles J. Flowers, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code. • Vice Chairman Gort has two nominations: 1. One for seat currently held by Ramiro Marrero, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code. 2. One for seat currently held by Luis Costa, who resigned. • Commissioner Sanchez has one nomination for seat currently held by Ivan Barrett, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code.
