BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. An amount .not to exceed $18,000 is hereby allocated from Fiscal Year 2000-2001 Budgeted Funds of the Civil Service Office, Account No. 240101-250, for payment of compensation to Special Counsel, including any required related litigation services, for the Civil Service Board.11 �i This compensation shall be payable as earned during the period of such counsel's employment. Funds are available from the Fiscal Year 2000-2001 budgeted funds of the Civil Service Office, Account No. 240101-250. Special counsel to serve as legal advisor to the Civil Service Board is required because the City Attorney prosecutes violators of actions in conflict with Civil Service Rules and Regulations, and therefore, cannot both represent and prosecute cases before the Civil Service Board. The compensation is payable as earned during the period of such counsel's employment. Chiaro Assistant City Attorney DATE: September 27, 2000 RE: Financial review and approval: Allocation of Funds for Special Counsel to the Civil Service Board (J-00-853) , Attached is a copy of a resolution which is being placed on the City Commission Agenda for the meeting of October 26, 2000. If approved, payment of compensation, in the amount of $18,000.00, for Special Counsel to the Civil Service Board will be authorized. Funds for said compensation are available from Fiscal Year 2000-2001 budgeted funds of the Civil Service Office, Account No. 240101-250. The compensation is payable as earned during the period of such counsel's employment. Please indicate your review and approval below prior to the request being presented to the City Commission and return this original memorandum to Beverly Solomon, Legislative Coordinator.
