FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PURCHASING, TO BE USED BY VARIOUS CITY DEPARTMENTS, ON AN AS -NEEDED CONTRACT BASIS, UNDER EXISITNG STATE OF FLORIDA NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT PRICE SCHEDULE ("SNAPS") NO. 2852175-1, EFFECTIVE THROUGH SEPTEMBER �4, 2001, AND ANY EXTENSIONS THERETO; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE OPERATING BUDGETS OF VARIOUS USER DEPARTMENTS, SUBJECT TO BUDGETARY APPROVAL. WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing requires the procurement of industrial and commercial equipment and supplies, such as batteries, janitorial supplies, lighting fixtures, hand tools, work gloves air-conditioning equipment, paint, and lubricants for use by various City departments on an as -needed basis; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Purchasing recommend the procurement of such industrial and commercial equipment and supplies, under existing SNAPS Agreement No. 2852175-1, be approved; and CITY COMUSSION KEEMNG OF 0 CT 1 2 2000 Rasolution No. WHEREAS, funds are available from each of the budgets of the various user departments, subject to budgetary approval, for said procurement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The procurement of industrial and commercial supplies from W. W. Grainger, Inc. for the Department of Purchasing, to be used by various City departments, on an as -needed contract basis, under exisitng State of Florida Negotiated Agreement Price Schedule ("SNAPS") No. 2852175-1, effective through September 4, 2001, and any extensions thereto, is hereby approved, with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Operating Budgets of various user departments, subject to budgetary approval.
