BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. RETIREMENT TRUST .It is recommended that the City Convoission confirm the re -appointment by AFSCNM of Rose Gordon as a representative selected by AFSCME as member of the City of Miami General Employees' and Sanitation Employees' Retirement Trust Board of Trustees as per attached Resolution. City of Miami Code Section 40-243 (A), (Ordinance No. 10002), provides for the appointment of a nine member board of trustees to administer and manage the retirement plan known as the "City of Miami General Employees' and Sanitation Employees' Retirement Trust." Of these nine members, one is to be selected by the City Manager, two by the general employees (A..F.S.C.M.E. barga'ni g unit), and two by the sanitation employees (C.I.G'.U. bargaiur ing unit). Four independent trustees are to be selected by the City Cotzu Lion per recommendation by the two bargaining units. Mr. Charles Cox, President of A1+SCME, has submitted for confirmation the name of Rose Gordon for reappointment to the Pension Board (see attached letter). The term of office for Rose Gordon. would begin on December 1, 2000, and expire on November 30, 2002.
