BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Clerk's Certification and Declaration of the results of the election held on August 31, _2000, attached hereto and made a part hereof, in which the individuals named herein -below in Section 2 were elected as board members of the Overtown Advisory Board (" OAB ") is hereby accepted. FOEMAN, City Clerk of the City of Miami, Florida, do hereby certify that the necessary steps were taken pursuant to City of Miami Code Section 2-1052 in connection with the conduct of the Overtown Advisory Board Election held on August 31, 2000. Said election was conducted in order to fill seven (7) vacancies on the Overtown Advisory Board. The election was held at the Culmer Center located at 1600 N.W. 3 Avenue from 2 until 6 p.m. I. Sixteen (16) individuals qualified as candidates for Overtown Advisory Board members. Said sixteen candidates' names were place on the ballot. II. A total of one hundred and twelve(!12) ballots were cast in said election. A total of one hundred and ten110 ballots were counted. Two (2) ballots were voided. III. Voters were allowed to vote for a maximum of seven (7) candidates of their choice. IV. F City Clerk DATE: September 1, 2000 FILE: SUBJECT: Overtown Advisory Board REFERENCES: September 14, 2000 Agenda ENCLOSURES: Resolution, List of Members The Overtown Advisory Board was created to encourage and support historic preservation and provide recommendations to the City Commission regarding all City funded or assisted activities, developments, or improvements within the Overtown area. Six current board members' terms expired on September 8, 2000; additionally one member resigned. An election was held on August 31, 2000. Pursuant to Miami Code Section 2-105, the City Commission at large has to ratify the following seven elected individuals to be appointed as members of the Overtown Advisory Board: Shirley D. Brown Deborah Crawford Juan F. D'Arce, Jr. Dr. Dorothy Jenkins Fields Barbara Kino Loyd Martha G.
