HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-00-0703J-00-674 7/27/00 RESOLUTION NO. 00-'703 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF THE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS ("RFP") TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY,°;WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, TO DEVELOP SURFACE PARKING LOTS WITH APPROPRIATE LIGHTING, LANDSCAPING AND FENCING FOR PURPOSES OF MAINTAINING PARKING OPERATIONS UNDERNEATH THE I-395 1 OVERPASS, BETWEEN NORTHWEST 3RD AVENUE AND BISCAYNE BOULEVARD, FROM NORTHWEST 11TH TO NORTHWEST 14TH STREETS, MIAMI, FLORIDA; FURTHER, DIRECTING THAT ANY NET REVENUES DERIVED FROM SAID PARKING OPERATIONS BE APPROPRIATED FOR USE BY THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION .OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager, with the participation of,,, the Downtown Development Authority, is hereby authorized!/ to issue a Request For Proposals ("RFP") to enter into an agreement, in a form acceptable to the City. Attorney, with the Florida �i The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. Section 2. It is hereby further directed that any net revenues derived from said parking operations be appropriated for use by the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency.
