RESOLUTION NO. � 698
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
ACCEPTING A DONATION OF A POLICE SERVICE DOG,
FROM THE METRO-DADE K-9 GUARD DOGS, WITH AN
ESTIMATED VALUE OF $6,500, FOR THE USE AND
BENEFIT OF THE CITY OF MIAMI POLICE CANINE
UNIT.
WHEREAS, the Department of Police has been offered a
donation of a police service dog from Metro -Dade K-9 Guard Dogs,
a dog training company, for the use and benefit of its Canine
Unit; and
WHEREAS, the Canine Unit recommends that the donation be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference
thereto. and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.
Section 2. The donation of a police service dog, from
the Metro -Dade K-9 Guard Dogs, with an estimated value of $6,500,
for the u'se and benefit of the City'of Miami Police Canine Unit,
is hereby accepted.

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.'/

the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall 'become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
