A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
NEGOTIATE AN INTER -LOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI AND THE MIAMI SPORTS AND
EXHIBITION AUTHORITY ("MSEA") TO CONVEY A
LONG-TERM INTEREST IN A ONE -ACRE PARCEL OF
LAND LOCATED ON WATSON ISLAND FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF A ,CHILDREN'S MUSEUM; AND
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO PRESENT THE
AGREEMENT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, TO THE CITY COMMISSION FOR
CONSIDERATION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized/ and directed
to negotiate an inter -local agreement between the City of Miami
and the Miami Sports and Exhibition Authority ("MSEA") to convey
a long-term interest in a one -acre parcel of land located on
Watson Island for the development of a Children's Museum.
1� The herein authorization or directive is further subject to compliance
with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney,
including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.

Section 2. The City Manager is directed�l to present the
inter -local agreement, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney,
to the City Commission for consideration.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor. -
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of July ,.2000.

the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
