FOR REPRESENTATION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000, IN THE MATTER OF THE DONALD H. WARSHAW V. JOE CAROLLO, INDIVIDUALLY, JOE CAROLLO IN HIS CAPACITY AS MAYOR OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, AND THE CITY OF MIAMI, IN THE ELEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT IN AND FOR MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, CASE NO. 00-11244 CA 05; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $20,000, PLUS COSTS AS APPROVED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY, FROM THE SELF-INSURANCE AND INSURANCE TRUST FUND, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 515001.624401.6.661, FOR SAID SERVICES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Attorney's engagement of the law firm of Akerman, Senterfitt & Eidson, P.A. for representation of the City of Miami, in the amount of $20,000 in the matter of Donald H. Warshaw v. Joe Carollo, Individually, Joe Carollo in his capacity as Mayor of the City of Miami, and the City of Miami, in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami -Dade County, Florida, Case No. 00-11244 CA -05, is hereby authorized, with funds therefor, in an amount not to exceed $20,000, plus costs as approved by the City Attorney, hereby allocated from the Self -Insurance and Insurance 'Trust Fund, Account Code No. 515001.624401.6.661, for said services. Warshaw v. Joe Carollo, Individually, Joe Carollo in his capacity as Mayor and the City of Miami, and the City of Miami, in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami -Dade County, Florida, Case No. 00-112445 CA -05, in connection with counseling, providing legal advice, formulating legal strategy and acting as counsel with respect to the litigation for the case. Funds in an amount not to exceed $40,000, plus costs as approved by the City Attorney, will be allocated from the Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust Fund, Account Code No. 515001.624401.6.661, for said services.
