It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution amending
Resolution No. 99-285, adopted on April 27ffi, 1999, to correct a scrivener's error to reflect the cost
for the provision of Psychological Pre -Employment Screening and Psychological Counseling
Services from Law Enforcement Psychological & Counseling Associates, Inc., for an amount not
to exceed $217,000 annually.
BACKGROUND
The Department of Police requires pre-employment psychological screening of all sworn job
applicants, and psychological counseling services for its employees. Pursuant to a Request for
Proposal #97-98-094, for said services, Law Enforcement Psychological and Counseling
Associates, Inc., as sole respondent, was deemed most advantageous by the Evaluation Committee
to be responsive in all aspects of the proposal and therefore awarded the contract.
Resolution No. 99-285 did not properly reflect the amount of compensation to be paid to the
provider for the two-year term. This resolution will correct a scrivener's error to reflect the annual
cost in the amount of $217,000, for the provision of pre-employment psychological screening and
psychological counseling services for the Police Department in the amount of $217,000.
