A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DESIGNATING THE CATEGORY CLASSIFICATION AS IT RELATES TO THE PROVISION OF ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK FOR CITY OF MIAMI BOARDS, COMMITTEES, AND COMMISSIONS. WHEREAS, the Office of the City Clerk currently provides administrative support services, including, but not limited to, public notification - advertising, internet display posting, record keeping, correspondence, filing, distribution and filing of financial disclosure, and routing of specific state/local financial reporting requirements to 45 boards, committees and commissions; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an ordinance adopted this date, the assignment of the specific categories for each board, committee or commission shall be determined and designated by resolution of the .City Commission; and WHEREAS, it is now in order for the City Commission to officially categorize the various boards, committees, and commissions so that the Office of the City Clerk may efficiently provide all necessary services; TY CobMSSION MEETING OF APP 1 3 2000 QVIution 119 b • 0 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The following boards, committees, and commissions ("boards") are hereby designated as Category "A" boards for which the Office of the City Clerk shall provide the following administrative support services: post action reports of all meetings; audio record meeting proceedings, set-up communication equipment, provide meeting proceedings support, including audio tape inventory, verbatim transcripts, proofreading and corrections for same, maintain attendance logs, provide for public notices and financial reporting, mark and number official actions, and prepare special transcripts upon request: 1. Community Redevelopment Agency for the Southeast Overtown/Park West District and Omni Redevelopment District 2. Citywide Community Development Advisory Board Section 3. The following boards are hereby designated as Category "B" boards for which the Office of the City Clerk shall provide the following administrative support services: Coordinate and assist with the conduct of Board Elections (*election manual document preparation, etc. for advisory boards only); provide for public notices, provide record keeping (filing 00 - Page Page 2 of 5 of bond indenture requirement, if legally imposed), maintain attendance logs and minutes book; verify residency status, monitor address/telephone confidentiality status of certain board members, advise members of appropriate requirements for each board (financial disclosures pursuant to State Law, Sunshine Law, dual office prohibitions, oaths, residency and/or employment requirements), serve as custodian of records for filing of said forms (including Statement of Financial Interest, Source of Income, Corporate Real Property, Real Property disclosures), provide notary services, provide filing and applicable rules and regulations governing government in the Sunshine, and pertinent advisory legal opinions affecting appointed officials, notify the commission of vacancies, administer required "oaths of office," and update the State Commission on Ethics regarding boards' status, and prepare minority composition reports: 1. Overtown Advisory Board* 2. Civil Service Board 3. Federal Enterprise Zone Community Council* Section 4. Sports And Exhibition Authority 18.- Urban Development Review Board 19. Waterfront Advisory Board 20. Zoning Board 21. Affordable Housing Advisory Committee 22. Audit Advisory Committee 23. The provisions of this Resolution shall commence and become operative simultaneously with the effective date of Ordinance No. Section 6. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission. This resolution has been drafted to become operative simultaneously with the effective date of its companion Ordinance which amends the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, to set forth and delineate the specific services required.
