RESOLUTION NO. 00— 160
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AUTHORIZING THE LEASE OF THREE VEHICLES FROM
...,r�r,,... INTERAMERICAN CAR RENTAL, UNDER EXISTING
CITY OF MIAMI CONTRACT NO. 96-97-077R, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $21,060; AND ALLOCATING
FUNDS FROM THE "STOP ACTIVE VANDALISM
EVERYWHERE" GRANT, ACCOUNT CODE
NO. 142027.290519.6.610.
WHEREAS, the Department of Police requires vehicles for its
Juvenile Investigations Unit to conduct proactive initiatives to
reduce the reoccurrence of vandalism; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Chief of Police recommend
the lease of vehicles from InterAmerican Car Rental at a cost
not to exceed $21,060;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and
incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The lease of three vehicles from
InterAmerican Rental, in an amount not to exceed $21,060, under

with funds allocated from the "Stop Active Vandalism Everywhere"
Grant, Account Code No. 142027.290519.6.610.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.'/

at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and
adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
