G o r 143 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION APPOINTING AND CONFIRMING THE SELECTION OF CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS AS MEMBERS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI AFFIRMATIVE ACTION ADVISORY BOARD FOR TERMS AS DESIGNATED HEREIN. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following individuals are hereby appointed as members of the City of Miami Affirmative Action Advisory Board, each to serve a term expiring February 8, 2001, or until the nominating commissioner leaves office, whichever occurs first: APPOINTEES: Luis Costa Ramiro Marrero Charles J. Foeman City Clerk ENCLOSURES: List of Members, Resolution The Affirmative Action Advisory Board was created to review and recommend to the City Commission the adoption of amendments/revisions to the City's affirmative action plan. The board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to the Personnel Department. All 14 members' terms expire on February 8, 2000: • Commissioner Teele has two nominations for vacant seat created because Charles J. Flowers was excessively absent and for seat currently held by Dr. Laurinus Pierre. • Commissioner Regalado has two nominations for vacant seat created because Ricardo Core was excessively absent and for seat currently held by Alan Morley. • Commissioner Winton has two nominations for seats currently held by Sabrina Bouie and Rasha Soray, who had both been nominated by former Commissioner Plummer. • Vice Chairman Gort has two nominations for vacant seat created because Ramiro Marrero exceeded the number of absences allowed by the City Code and for seat currently held by Luis Costa. • Commissioner Sanchez has two nominations for seats currently held by Ivan Barrett and Sam Mason. • The Commission at -large is requested to confirm the following union representatives: 1.
