RESOLUTION NO. GO— 96
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
APPOINTING CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS AND CONFIRMING
THE ELECTIONS OF CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS AS
MEMBERS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE BOARD FOR TERMS
AS DESIGNATED HEREIN.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Commission -at -Large hereby appoints the
following individuals as members of the Civil Service Board, for
terms expiring on January 27, 2002:

Frankie Rolle
Section 2. The elections of the following individuals to
serve as members of the Civil Service Board are hereby confirmed,
for terms expiring on January 27, 2002:

Subject to the approval of the City Commission, the Civil Service Board was created to adopt,
amend and enforce a code of rules and regulations which shall have the force and effect of law,
providing for appointment and employment in all positions in the classified service, based on
merit, efficiency, character, and industry; and to make investigations concerning the enforcement
and effect of this article and of the rules adopted; and shall make an annual report to the
Commission.
All members of the Civil Service Board have terms which expire January 25, 2000.
• The City Commission at -large has three (3) appointments for seats currently held by
Gerald Silverman, Frankie Rolle and Martin Garcia.
• The Commission at -large is requested to confirm two members elected December 1999
by City employees with Civil Service status: William J. Scarola III for Seat No. 1 and
Robert Frazier for Seat No. 2.
For your information, attached please find a copy of the current membership of said board. By
copy of this memorandum to the Agenda Office, we are requesting that this issue be placed on the
January 27, 2000 Commission agenda.
