The Citizens on Patrol Volunteer Program provides a coordinated effort for citizens to take an active role in crime prevention efforts within the neighborhood in which they live and work. Understanding that more police officers in the field will not be a reality, this program addresses the fear of crime by multiplying the eyes and ears of the Police Department. Citizen volunteers play an integral part in the crime prevention efforts of the Police Department. These funds will be used towards the payment of the subscriber agreement for the radio system and equipment used by the Citizens on Patrol Volunteer Program.
