A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION APPROVING THE PROCUREMENT AND INSTALLATION OF LIGHTING AT FIRE STATIONS NOS. 4 AND 10 FROM GRAINGER, INC., USING EXISTING STATE OF FLORIDA NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT PRICE SCHEDULE (SNAPS) NO. 2851185, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE -RESCUE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $7,862,.29; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM ACCOUNT NO: 313302.289401.6.85029, FUNDED BY THE FIRE ASSESSMENT. WHEREAS, the lighting systems at Fire Stations Nos. 4_and 10 require updating; and WHEREAS, electrical wiring has deteriorated in several areas and fixtures are inoperable causing hazardous conditions; and WHEREAS, funding for updating the systems is available from Account No. 313302.289401.6.85029, funded by the Fire Assessment; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. The Miami City Commission hereby approves the procurement and installation of lighting at Fire Stations Nos. 4 and 10 from Grainger, Inc.., using existing State of Florida Negotiated Agreement Price Schedule (SNAPS) No. 2851185, for the Department of Fire -Rescue, in an amount not to exceed $7,862.29, with funds therefore hereby allocated from Account No. 313302.289401.6.,85029, funded by the Fire Assessment. Section 3. Funding in the total amount of $7,862.29 ($5,060.73 for Fire Station No. 4 and $2,801.56 for Fire Station No. 10) is available from Account No. 313302.289401.6.85029, funded by the Fire Assessment. BACKGROUND The lighting systems at Fire Stations 4 and 10 require updating. Electrical wiring and electrical components have deteriorated in several areas and lighting fixtures are inoperable.
