Ordinance which establishes initial resources and initial appropriations for a Special Revenue Fund entitled: "Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) Grant," accepting a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance, in the amount of $14,000.00. BACKGROUND The Police Department has been awarded a grant, in the amount of $14,000, from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance. The Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) Grant Act of 1998 was signed into law (Public Law 105-81), on June 16, 1998.
