The Board of Trustees for the City of Miami General Employees' and Sanitation Employees' Trust (GESE) requests an amendment to Section 40-245 of the City Code to allow for investment in foreign stocks. BACKGROUND The City of Miami General Employees' and Sanitation Employees' Trust in reviewing its investment guidelines and upon consultation and recommendation of its Investment Consultant, Watson Wyatt, have determined that it would be beneficial to the Trust to invest in foreign stocks. The ability to invest in foreign stocks provides for greater diversification thereby reducing the Trust's overall risk in its investment portfolio.
