Thursday, 'Novel 2000, , will convene at 9:00 a.m. in the Commission Chambers, 3500 Pan
American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133. Under the parameters of F.S.286.011(8) (1.9991, the person
chairing the City. of Miami Commission meeting will announce immediately after the meeting is con-
vened the commencement of an�attorney--client'session, closed'to the public, for purposes of discussing
pending litigation (DONALD H. WARSHAW VS. CITY OF MIAMI A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, IN THE
ELEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT IN AND FOR MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, CASE NO. 00-11244
CA 04) to which the City is presently a party. The closed door session will. begin at approximately 9:00
a.m. and conclude at approximately9:30 a.m. The session will be attended by the members of.the City
Commission; Wilfredo'(Willy) Gort, Joe Sanchez, Tomas Regalado, Arthur E. Teele, Jr., and Johnny L.
Winton; .the City Manager, Carlos A. Gimenez; and counsel for the City, Nina K. Brown and Joseph W.
Hatchett from the law firm of Akerman, Senterfitt & Eidson, P.A., a certified court reporter will be pre-
sent to ensure that the session is fully transcribed ands said transcript will be made public upon the
conclusion of the above cited, ongoing litigation.. Please be further advised that at the conclusion of the
attorney -client session, the regular Commission meeting will be reopened and the person chairing the
Commission meeting will announce the termination of the attorney -client session.

WATSON ISLAND NORTHWEST QUADRANT REDEVELOPMENT
A public hearing will be held by the Miami Commission of the City of Miami, Florida, on Nove�mbe
2000, at 9:30 a.m. in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, —Miami,
Florida, for the purpose of hearing any comments from any interested parties regarding the contents of
a draft request for proposals for redevelopment of the "WATSON ISLAND NORTHWEST QUADRANT",
and for the purpose of selecting a certified public accounting firm to evaluate the proposals received for
a proposed unified development project to develop commercial, entertainment, marine, and ancillary
related. improvements on approximately 25 acres of city owned property, consisting of 11 acres of
upland and 14 acres of submerged lands, including the Watson Island Marina, located at 1040
MacArthur Causeway, Miami, Florida. The facilities to be developed must include a marina and may
include related marine facilities, recreational, entertainment, educational, cultural, entertainment des-
tination, conference, convention, hotel, retail, or other ancillary related uses.
All interested persons are invited to appear and may be heard concerning this matter. Should any per-
son desire to appeal any decision.of,'the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this
hearing, that person shall ensure that a. verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including all teg-
timony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based.
