RESOLUTION NO. U 1-13 3 8
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
RELATED TO THE KING MANGO STRUT, WHICH WILL
TAKE PLACE ALONG THE STREETS OF DOWNTOWN
COCONUT GROVE ON DECEMBER 30, 2001;
AUTHORIZING THE WAIVER OF FEES AND PERMITS
PERMISSIBLE BY LAW AND THE PROVISION OF
SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $3,221;
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FOR SAID
SERVICES, FROM ACCOUNT CODE
NO. 001.000921054.289; SAID AUTHORIZATIONS
CONDITIONED UPON THE ORGANIZERS: (1)
OBTAINING ALL PERMITS REQUIRED BY LAW; (2)
PAYING FOR ALL NECESSARY COSTS OF ALL OTHER
CITY SERVICES AND APPLICABLE FEES ASSOCIATED
WITH SAID EVENT; (3) OBTAINING INSURANCE TO
PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED
BY THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE; AND (4)
COMPLYING WITH ALL CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS
AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR
DESIGNEE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The waiver of fees and permits
permissible by the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as
amended, and the provision of services, in an amount not to
exceed $3,221, is authorized for the King Mango Strut, which will
take place along the streets of Downtown Coconut Grove on
December 30, 2001.
Section 2. The allocation of funds for said services is
authorized from Account Code No. 001000921054.289.

Section 3. The herein authorizations are conditioned
upon the organizers: (1) obtaining all permits required by law;
(2) paying for all other necessary costs of City services and
applicable fees associated with said event; (3) obtaining
insurance to protect the City in the amount as prescribed by the
City Manager or designee; and (4) complying with all conditions
and limitations as may be prescribed by the City Manager or
designee.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.!/

the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective

After a review of Resolution No. 01-1338, adopted by the City Commission on
December 13, 2001, we have identified that the legislation provided to you incorrectly reflects
the location of the King Mango Strut as taking place along Biscayne Boulevard.
Please replace the document you presently possess as Resolution No. 01-1338 with the
attached substitute original resolution which has been revised to clearly reflect the location of
the King Mango Strut as taking place along the streets of Downtown Coconut Grove. This
memorandum may be attached to Resolution No. 01-1338 so that any concern regarding the
substitution of said Resolution is clarified.
After the correct document has been executed, please forward a copy to this Office and
to Lina Blanco, Special Events Coordinator, Department of Conferences, Conventions, and
Public Facilities.
