CEJAS (THE "GRANTEE"), TO IDENTIFY ITSELF AS AN OFFICIAL CITY WEBSITE, AT NO COST TO THE CITY, WHICH PERMISSION IS PERSONAL TO THE GRANTEE, NON- TRANSFERABLE OR ASSIGNABLE AND IS SUBJECT TO REVOCATION BY THE CITY COMMISSION AT WILL. WHEREAS, Silvia M. Cejas ("Grantee"), the owner of "WWW.DOWNTOWN-MIAMI.COM," is requesting permission and endorsement from the City to identify itself as an official City of Miami website, at no cost to the City; and WHEREAS, the above-mentioned website will contain updated information about the City of Miami Downtown area including, but not limited to, destinations and special events; and WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission has determined that it is desirable to promote and disseminate information regarding the attributes of the City of Miami downtown area to the public; and v UTi Ca OF 3 rM1 pl�e�ie�C�� gyp• WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission desires to grant the requested endorsement and permission to the Grantee provided there is no cost to the City and with the understanding that the permission granted is exclusive to the Grantee, not transferable or assignable and is subject to revocation by the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The website that will provide updated information about the City of Miami Downtown Area is endorsed, and "WWW.DOWNTOWN-MIAMI.COM," owned by Sylvia M. Cejas, the owner (the "Grantee"), is granted permission to identify said website as an official City website, at no cost to the City, which permission is personal to the Grantee, non -transferable or assignable and is subject to revocation by the City Commission at will. During this presentation we will be introducing this valuable site that will be launching in early January 2002. We will show a 5 -minute power point presentation that shores all that this site will offer and will be available to answer any questions. We plan on hopefully meeting with each of the Cornmisstioners prior to the presentation. It is important for us to be able to present this project in front of the Commission prior to the official launch. We feel strongly that this site will be a very valuable tool for promoting business in Downtown Miami and we look forward to working closely with the City of Miami on this effort.
