City Clerk • November 7, 2001 The Honorable Arthur Teele Commissioner, City of Miami Re: Appointments and reappointments, Commission on the Status of Women Dear Mr. Teele: Congratulations on your landslide win on the 6th. The Commission's November 15th meeting is the time that annual appointments and reappointments for our Board will be made. As you are probably aware, Mrs. Nasreen Kabani resigned because of time constraints between the two full time jobs she is currently involved with. In her place, we would request that you appoint Ms. Shashi Jagadish. Ms. Jagadish has a wonderful background also, and has told me that she does have the time in her schedule to handle the meetings and projects that our Board conducts. I have attached a copy of her resume for your review. Additionally, we would appreciate it if you would reappoint Ms. Karen Cartwright, who has been a very active member of our board since her initial appointment. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. vey truly yours, A ysonMa en Chair I .;. 1252 SEP. 5.1997 11:33PM ` hIQ .601 P . 2 Shashi Jagadish S O !V.
