HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-01-12420 RESOLUTION NO. 01-1242 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION APPOINTING CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS AS MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY BOARD FOR TERMS AS DESIGNATED HEREIN. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Foeman ENCLOSURESCity Cleric List of Members, Resolution The Community Technology Advisory Board was created to provide advice, oversight and grant solicitation in support of community related computer technology and "distance learning" initiatives. Community based grants and awards of funds relating to computers, technology and distance based learning shall be referred to this board. Appointments made by the Mayor and members of the Commission are to be residents with some specific knowledge, training or experience in teaching. This is a new board created by Resolution No. 01-827 on July 26, 2001. Six appointments are needed at this time for current vacant seats: • Each member of the Commission has one nomination. • Mayor Carollo has one appointment. For your information, attached please find a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the November 8, 2001 Commission agenda. This issue was deferred from the September 25, 2001 Commission meeting.
