RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AUTHORIZING THE WAIVER OF ALL FEES AND
PERMITS PERMISSIBLE BY THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $7,500, FOR THE SOUL BOWL, THE
ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME BETWEEN
NORTHWESTERN AND JACKSON HIGH SCHOOLS, TO BE
HELD AT THE ORANGE BOWL ON SATURDAY,
OCTOBER 27, 2001; CONDITIONING SAID
AUTHORIZATION UPON THE ORGANIZERS: (1)
OBTAINING ALL PERMITS REQUIRED BY LAW; (2)
PAYING FOR ALL OTHER NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY
SERVICES AND APPLICABLE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH
SAID EVENT; (3) OBTAINING INSURANCE, TO
PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED
BY THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE; AND (4)
COMPLYING WITH ALL CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS
AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR
DESIGNEE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The waiver of all fees and permits
permissible by the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as
amended, in an amount not to exceed $7,500, are authorized for
the Soul Bowl, the annual high ,school football game between
Northwestern and Jackson High Schools, to be held at the Orange
Bowl on Saturday, October 27, 2001.

Section 2. The herein authorization is conditioned upon
the organizers: (1) obtaining all permits required by law; (2)
paying for all other necessary coats of City services and
applicable fees associated with said event; (3) obtaining
insurance, to protect the City in the amount as prescribed by the
City Manager or designee; and (4) complying with all conditions
and limitations as may be prescribed by the City Manager or
designee.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.'/

effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was
passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by
the city Commission.
