A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 01-824 TO EXTEND THE
SUBMITTAL DATE FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
IN7.'ERNAL AUDITS' PRELIMINARY AND FINAL
REPORTS BY NINETY DAYS, RESPECTIVELY, I'OR
REVIEW OF THE POINCIANA VILLAGE CONDOMINIUM.
HE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Resolution No. 01-824, adopted July 26,
2001, is amended in the following particulars:/
"RESOLUTION NO. 01-824
Section 1. The City Manager is directed to
instruct the Department of Internal Audits to perform
a review of the Poinciana Village Condominiums by
examining (1) commitment: made by the project's
developer, (2) commitments made by the project's
developer to individua.1 buyers at the time of unit
purchases, (3) project monies lost by other investors,
and (4) by reporting any financial impacts that have
been experienced by the original owners of property.
Section 2. The City Manager is directed to
make recommendations concerning the appropriate forms.
of restitution to make the unit purchasers whole.

Section 3. The City Manager is further
directed to submit a preliminary report within 4a 13_5
days from the adoption of this Resolution, and to
submit the final report to the City Commission within
-9� 1_80 days of the date of adoption of this
Resolution.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.'

By this memorandum, I am respectfully requesting to discuss the following resolution as a
pocket item;
RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
EXTENDING THE DEADLINE BY 90 DAYS FOR THE PRELIMINARY
AUDIT REPORT ON THE POINCIANA VILLAGE PURSUANT TO
RESOLUTION 01-824 DUE TO THE LACK OF PAST RECORDS AND
FURTHER TO EVALUATE AND REPORT RACK TO THE
COMMISSION ON 'rHE STATUS OF THE HOMEOWNERS INCREASED
MAINTENANCE FEES AND TO PROVIDE THE COMMISSION WITH A
RECOMMENDATION.
