Legal Imprints, Inc. for
Duplicating Services

Car os A. Gimenez Cit y Commission Meeting
City Manager ENCLOSURES: September 2.5, 2001
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the proposed resolution
allocating $16,000 of State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) Funds to cover the costs of
duplicating services provided by Legal Imprints, Inc, as a result of a subpoena for records
relating to the Single Family Rehabilitation Program.
BACKGROUND:
As a result of an ongoing investigation regarding the Single Family Rehabilitation Program, a
federal subpoena required the City of Miami to turn over all its records relating to the Program
under scrutiny.
To ensure that the City maintained appropriate records for the Single Family Rehabilitation
Program to meet the requirements of its funding source and to further ensure that staff was able
to manage the ongoing activities of the Rehabilitation Program, it was necessary to contact an
outside agency to reproduce certified copies of the City's records. Legal Imprints, Inc. was
selected as the vendor to provide this service.
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution that identifies $16,000
of SHIP funds to cover the cost of these duplicating services.
