Gimenez City Manager RECOMMENDATION DATE: SEP 12 '. 0' FILE: SUBJECT: Authorizing the Purchase of Miscellaneous Replacement Parts for Gas Masks; Bid No. 00-01-120 REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution accepting the bid of Advanced Police & Fire Supplies, Inc., a Hispanic/Local vendor, located at 2001 S.W. I" Street, Miami, Florida 33135, for the purchase of Miscellaneous Replacement Parts for Gas Masks, on an as needed basis, for the Department of Police, for an initial term of (2) years with the option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, subject to a 4% increase on the third and fow-th year contract, for an initial annual contract amount not to exceed $4,565.76. Funding will be provided from the Police Department General Operating Budget, Account Code 001000.290201.6.075. BACKGROUND The Department of Police has analyzed the bids received pursuant to Bid No. 00-01-120 for the purchase of miscellaneous replacement parts. Twenty-nine (29) invitations for bids were mailed and five (5) responses were received. Advance Police & Fire Supplies, Inc., submitted the lowest most responsible and responsive bid and is, therefore recommended for award.
